		<description>Tom - great connection here in your post.  In my experience I have found that the bulk of motivational and management issues are tied to a poor hiring decision where somebody who is not fit for the job is hired anyway.  

"Wes'" comment about filling a position as quick as possible greatly adds to the chances of hiring a poorly fit team member.  The advice I always give my clients is this:  "Not hiring is better than hiring the wrong person for the job"
